This third-generation cowboy started showing reining horses when he was just 12 years old. After apprenticing under two of reining’s top trainers, Duane Latimer and Craig Schmersal, Jesse returned home to start his own career training reining horses with his father. Beckley Reining is part of a multi-generation cattle and guest ranch called the Three Bars Guest Ranch located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains just outside of Cranbrook, British Columbia. It’s a special operation with everyone pitching in including Jesse, his wife Deanna and their four children, his parents Jeff and April, and his brother Tyler with his wife Jenna. When he’s not in the show pen, Jesse oversees the string of horses that the tourists ride and helps the wrangling staff out on the ranch. Many of the guests find themselves sitting by the reining arena watching Jesse work with his talented horses.
